Sparkle artist and showbiz royalty Mavy Legaspi adds another milestone in his career as he becomes one of the hosts of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.

He is set to co-host the online edition of the show together with former PBB housemate Alexa Ilacad.

During the recent media conference for PBB Celebrity Collab Edition, The Rewined Channel asked Mavy how he got the hosting stint.

He first quips, “Actually, nag-audition ako. Kinulong ako sa bahay ni kuya for one month. Hindi joke lang!”

He then narrates, “I was offered this job and siyempre, nagulat talaga ako kasi lahat naman tayo, fan ng PBB. I also watched PBB growing up also.

“Yung last season na napanood ko actually was Alexa’s season, e. So saktong sakto, noong sinabi nilang makakatrabaho ko si Alexa sa online hosting, yes kaagad!

“Kasi other than it’s such an honor to do this job, si Alexa ay kaibigan ko for the longest time.

“So, hitting two birds with one stone, it’s an honor to do PBB and at the same time, work with Alexa and together with these amazing hosts–mga ate at kuya ko. It’s a no-brainer talaga. I mean, who wouldn’t say yes to this.”

This is not the first time that Mavy will do hosting. For several years, he did the morning talk show Sarap Di Ba? with his mom Carmina Villarroel and twin sister Cassy Legaspi.

But now that he is moving forward to another hosting project without his family, what are his expectations?

Mavy answers, “Siyempre, I look forward to doing this for the first time on my own. May pressure but at the same time, ayoko isipin yun because I want to give my best sa lahat ng audience, who’s going to watch PBB.

“I just look forward to getting to know the housemates and also, lahat ng mga comments ng mga viewers ng PBB. To get to know the enviropnment and like what I said kanina, to create a healthy space and a healthy environment for everyone.”

Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition airs Monday to Friday on GMA-7 at 10:00 PM and 6:15 PM every Saturday and Sunday.
