Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios gets to keep original ‘Force For Good’ crown

Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios revealed that the Miss Universe Organization has gifted her the ‘Force for Good’ crown as a token of gratitude for her successful reign.

The 24-year-old Nicaraguan beauty revealed this information in an interview, shared by pageant-oriented blog Sash Factor on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

Speaking in Spanish, Sheynnis says, “I have the fortune to say and the blessing that I have my crown. It is kept in my house.

“They left me the crown and I am happy to keep that special, that gift of life, from God, from the universe, and the same organization that decision to give it to me.”

Sheynnis holds this privilege very dearly, as traditionally, the winners only get to take home a replica of the crown once their reign comes to an end.

She adds, “Usually, I speak from my usual experience. They say that they are left with a replica, and I have the fortune to say that I have my crown, which is in my home, well-kept, and that is a memory for all my life, for me, and for all my family.”

Sheynnis is the first-ever Nicaraguan candidate to have won the elusive Miss Universe crown. She was crowned on November 18, 2023 in El Salvador. Before that, she also represented her country in Miss World wherein she secured a spot in the Top 40.

The “Force for Good” crown is MUO’s commissioned piece from luxury brand Mouawad. Valued at approximately USD 5.75 million, the crown features 48.12 carats of white diamonds and 108.44 carats of pear-shaped blue sapphires.

According to Mouawad’s official website, the ‘Force for Good’ crown is a reminder that “there is seldom change without resistance, as there will always be stakeholders who have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo.”
