After a little bit of digging online, the netizens have finally found Kathryn Bernardo’s childhood crush named Kenneth. 

Netizens were quick to find the now Dr. Kenneth Hizon, following the actress’s revelation on Pilipinas Got Talent about a certain boy whom she used to have a crush on. As the search rendered a complete name and face, Kenneth has come forward and granted an interview with ABS-CBN News. 

“We were classmates before [in] Nursery. Hanggang hindi ko lang maalala if it’s hanggang grade one or grade two, but yes, we were classmates before,” Kenneth recalls in parallel with Kathryn’s claim that she had her first crush back in second grade. 

When asked how he reacted to the revelation, Kenneth said he was surprised by the sudden online clamor. Not only were the netizens buzzing, but even his friends were tagging him in the PGT clip. 

This then prompted him to reminisce about whether or not he was really the Kenneth that Kathryn was pertaining to. And just like any other boy, Kenneth admits feeling giddy for having been admired by Kathryn. As he puts it, “Siyempre, kinilig ako.”

Despite all the buzz, Kenneth maintained that he is still a private person who got overwhelmed by the sudden hype. But all in all, he shares that he is still well.

Kenneth still remembers how Kathryn was back in the day. As he puts it, “Kapag nakita mo kasi siya, makikita mo talaga sa kanya na bright kid siya tapos masayahin siya. And siyempre, maganda kahit bata pa lang. “

More than the physical profile, it’s as if Kathryn was really bound to be in television, as Kenneth also reveals that even at a young age, the celebrity already has a penchant for acting. He shares, “Nakikita-kita ko, kapag may mga talent-talent, parang nag-a-act siya and she was good naman.” 

Kenneth Hizon is happy for Kathryn Bernardo’s career

Kathryn and Kenneth’s time together was cut short when the actress left Cabanatuan to pursue her studies in Manila. Kenneth, on the other hand, remained in the province and soon became a doctor. 

Ever since Kathryn left, Kenneth hasn’t been able to see Kathryn again in person. It was only through television that he got to see how Kathryn fared in the entertainment industry. 

Every time Kenneth gets to watch the actress on TV, he is reminded of their time back in elementary. He was “super happy” at how it all turned out for Kathryn.

While there may be so many things that the public knows about Kathryn as an actress, very little is known about the life she had before stardom. Kenneth, being her classmate, was one of the few people who got to witness it. 

When asked about it, Kenneth says, “Hindi ko lang sigurado pero napansin ko sa kanya before is, hindi niya talaga ako pinapansin.  ‘Di ko alam bakit siya ganon, di ko alam kung sa akin lang ba or sa ibang tao. Pero over all, sobrang bait niyang tao at sobrang bright.”

At the end of the interview, Kenneth sent well wishes for Kathryn, saying, “If your busy time will allow us, I hope we can catch up.”
